For some hedges like field boundaries or on the roadside (where it isn't imperative they look immaculate, but still important they look neat and tidy) we can use our tractor mounted hedge cutter. This is often the most time and cost efficient option, and, as we're arborists -not farmers, you wont be compromising on quality or professionalism.

An old and damaged fence is not only unpleasant to look at, it also compromises the security of your property or animals. We can discuss what would be appropriate new fencing for an area, or remove, replace or repair an existing fence. 

For larger areas of grass that don't need to be quite so pristine, like paddocks and fields, we use a tractor to maintain as and when is needed. Topping a field is an essential process for maintaining a good quality grass sward and preventing weeds from establishing.

Carried out during the peaks of the growing season, usually in spring and sometimes autumn, harrowing removes dead grass, shallow weeds and moss and encourages grass to spread and strengthen. Rolling levels out uneven ground and encourages seeded areas to establish better.

Reseeding an area is an effective low cost way to repair and improve tired and patchy pastures, and improve the quality for grazing.

When weeds take over paddocks they significantly reduce the quality of the grazing area and can pose a poisonous threat to animals. Spraying is an effective and safe option to tackle them without leaving anything behind to regrow.
